Five Best Ineligible Wrestlers

Here’s a list of the top wrestlers from around the world that unfortunately are not eligible for the SquaredEagle’s Rankings. The rules for eligibility state that a wrestler:

  • Must be under 35 years of age
  • Must have less than 10 years of wrestling experience
  • Must compete for at least 5 different promotions over the course of one year

Adam “Hangman” Page

Reason for Ineligibility: Over 10 Years of Experience, Not enough different promotions

Adam Page

Hangman Page is a rising star and poised for big things in AEW as he will compete against Chris Jericho to potentially become the organizations first ever champion. Unfortunately, he is also staunchly loyal to his employers. He has spent the majority of his career only competing for NJPW and ROH and has now signed an exclusive contract with AEW. AEW’s openness to sharing talent may see him crack the 5 promotion mark in the future, but he has also recently eclipsed the 10 years threshold for his career. So, Page will not be listed on SquaredEagle any time soon.

Jay White

Reason for Ineligibility: Not enough different promotions

Jay White

Jay White is the top heel in New Japan. At only 26, he has already held the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. He has all the tools to be a star for a long time. Much like Adam Page, he has almost exclusively worked for NJPW and ROH. However, with only 5 years of experience under his belt, there is still time for him to make it on SquaredEagle’s rankings.

Tetsuya Naito

Reason for Ineligibility: Over 35, Over 10 Years of Experience, Not enough different promotions

Tetsuya Naito

The leader of Los Ingobernables de Japon has been one of the most popular wrestlers in Japan for the past few years. His cool style combined with his devastating moveset have made him a fan-favorite, even though he often uses heel tactics. Regrettably, he will never be in the SE rankings. He’s passed both the aged and experience limits and will more than likely finish his career working exclusively for NJPW.

Kenny Omega

Reason for Ineligibility: Over 35, Over 10 Years of Experience, Not enough different promotions

Kenny Omega

Kenny Omega has been known to show up randomly at independent shows, so it’s possible he could meet the promotions requirement. Although, he recently celebrated his 35th birthday and his lengthy career exclude him from our rankings. Omega looks to be a top star for AEW, already main-eventing their first PPV.

Kazuchika Okada

Reason for Ineligibility: Over 10 Years of Experience, Not enough different promotions

Kazuchika Okada

Okada is one of the smoothest wrestlers to ever grace the ring. Everything he does comes with such effortless fluidity. He’s only 31, but has already been IWGP Heavyweight Champion a remarkable 5 times and is also the longest reigning champ. Sadly, his career has spanned 14 years. Plus, his exclusivity to NJPW would likely keep him ineligible regardless of his experience
