Birthplace: Edinburgh, Scotland
Aerial: Hendry has no aerial moves to speak of. He’s a mat wrestler and he’s going to look to keep things on the ground whenever he can.
Appearance: He’s another guy that just looks like a wrestler. He’s got he classic build and bone structure. Despite have above-average looks, there’s nothing that really stands out here.
Charisma: Joe Hendry is an accomplished amateur wrestler and also a musician. I’m willing to bet in real-life he is as tough as they come. However, for me his character comes off as too soft. He’s played a heel and done it fairly well, but I just have a hard time believing he’s anything but nice.
Power: Logically, Hendry has significant power. He knows how to work his hips and years of training have given him tremendous core strength. Be that as it may, he needs to demonstrate it more.
Technical: It’s not hard to imagine that someone who represented their country at the Commonwealth Games, is good mat technician and that’s exactly what Hendry is. He is an excellent grappler and submission artist. His striking could still use some improving, but it is above-average as well.
Overview: Joe Hendry’s current character doesn’t really appeal to me. I’d like to see him move away from the singing and focus on being the ‘Scotish Kurt Angle’. I’d also like to see him add some power moves and show off his strength more. Regardless, Hendry has a tremendous upside. He still very young but already well experience and growing in popularity. I don’t think it will be long before the WWE are knocking on his door.
Projection: Lower Mid Card
