Name: Josh Briggs
Birthplace: Bullhead City, AZ
Aerial: Briggs isn’t afraid to go to the air. Nonetheless, he is a very tall man. So he’ll probably never be an elite flyer, but he doesn’t need to be.
Appearance: Despite weighing-in at close to 270 pounds, his extreme height makes his build appear slimmer, especially in his upper body. He’ll need to add some bulk to legitimately be considered as a monster at the next level. Furthermore, he is one of many many wrestlers with long dark hair and a beard.
Charisma: Josh is currently using a the gimmick of being an ornery big man. It’s not terrible, but it’s pretty basic. Conjointly, his work on the microphone could use improvement as well.
Power: Power moves are definitely Briggs’ strong spot. He has tremendous skill and creativity. Additionally, he keeps it interesting by adopting a variety of different combinations.
Technical: You’re probably not going to see Josh Briggs in a lot of technical clinics or submission matches. That is not his specialty, nor does he have the background for it. Albeit, he is very young into his wrestling career and I expect he will improve a great deal.
Overview: For someone having only a little under two years since his debut, Josh Briggs has a very refined game. He’s still suffers slight missteps from time-to-time, but overall he moves remarkably smoothly. This may be due to his athletic background, as he played Division 1 Football prior to starting his wrestling career. His appearance and his character feel very familiar, so I’d also like to see him do something to set himself apart in those aspects. Only time will tell how much he will improve, but Briggs is definitely a star on the rise.
